Things you might want to buy:
A very nice map of Sibley County, showing the roads, schools, churches,
cemeteries, parks, and the section numbers, can be purchased for $1.00 at the
County Recorder's office in Gaylord. By mail, send $2.00 to Sibley
County Recorder, Courthouse, Gaylord MN 55334. Do you know what township
your ancestors lived in? Do you understand where that is, in relation to
nearby towns, schools, and churches? If not, you need this map.
Even if you don't plan to use the Minnesota Historical Society libraries,
the guide book, Guide to Family History Resources at the Minnesota Historical Society
is worth buying. The last time I checked, it was $15. Find out more about it at their website: www.mnhs.org/category.cfm?Category=89l
